2024–25 - (Sophomore, King University)

Pocknett made history by becoming the first Tornado to eclipse 1,000 career points in just two seasons, reaching the milestone on February 8 against Southern Wesleyan. He earned First Team All-Conference Carolinas honors while also being recognized as the Delta Blues SAAC Student-Athlete of the Month for February. Starting every game he played, Pocknett averaged 22.2 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per contest. He scored in double figures in every appearance, notched 10 double-doubles, and delivered four 30-point performances—including a career-high 35 points in the Conference Carolinas semifinals against UNC Pembroke.

2023-24 - (Freshman, King University)

As a freshman, Pocknett made an immediate impact, capturing both the Twisty Awards Male Freshman of the Year and Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year awards. He was named Second Team All-Conference Carolinas and collected multiple weekly honors, including twice being recognized as Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week and two nods from the Tennessee Sports Writers Association. Playing in 29 games with 27 starts, he averaged 17.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.9 steals, recording 10 double-doubles. He posted two 30-point outings, highlighted by a 33-point performance at Emory & Henry on November 16.

At the prep level, Pocknett averaged 16 points and nine rebounds per game and was named the Star News Player of the Year.

Born October 26, 2002, in Wilmington, North Carolina, Mikhail Pocknett has quickly established himself as one of the premier players in Conference Carolinas. Off the court, Pocknett comes from a close-knit family with siblings Lenny (25), Brantley (22), Lenier (21), Eli (18), and Lenajah (18). He enjoys playing video games, lists NBA YoungBoy as his favorite artist, and counts The Dark Knight Rises and Dragon Ball among his go-to entertainment. A devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox, Baltimore Ravens, Boston Celtics, and Carolina Hurricanes, he looks up to basketball legends Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan as role models. His pregame routine includes listening to YoungBoy, taking a nap, and saying a prayer. Describing himself as “a dawg,” Pocknett keeps his goals simple but ambitious—he expects to “win a chip.”
